Than lithium polymer battery is better than lithium-ion. Li po power supplies have the following advantages: the use of dry or semi-dry electrolyte allows the manufacture of compact batteries of any shape and size, as well as making them flexible; they have less weight and size in comparison with lithium-ion batteries identical in performance; Lithium-ion/lithium polymer (Li-ion/LiPo) cells reportedly lose typically 20% of capacity per year when fully charged, but just 4% at 40% charged state. For practical purposes, sometimes a trade off is made between battery lifetime and battery readiness. The Redflow company has clearly done a fantastic job of maximizing the efficiency of their ZCell battery. Unfortunately, it is still worse than the efficiency of lithium-ion battery systems. For example, the Tesla Powerwall claims to have an efficiency of 92.5% and the LG Chem RESU 95%.LFP (LiFePO4) is very underappreciated and often confused with Li-ion (which is a different chemistry).
